This is the title track of the collection and covers the main theme of the novel - the irony of singing love songs while trying to be the lead singer in a rock band. This song has a riffing quality that comes from Janie's time playing in bands like Stiletto in the 1970s Carlton music scene of inner-city Melbourne where she learnt a lot about playing in a rock band. This track features an amazing vocal improvisation on the outro by Billie McArthy. Thanks for that Billie, the song always needed it.
